For participants who need the visa application
All foreign participants must carry a valid passport, and in many
cases a visa also. Since the Japanese visa application system is
very strict, anyone who needs a visa should apply early, leaving
enough time for processing and any possible corrections. In some
cases, it takes a few months to get a visa after submitting an
application.
You can find whether you need a visa or not, and how to apply for
it, from the
website
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For the visa application, “Invitation Letter” from the Conference
may be required. Those who need the Invitation Letter are kindly
invited to ask the conference secretariat via e-mail to mizuhata@kobe-u.ac.jp,
with the subject "Request for the Invitation Letter".
Nanoworkshop2007 Organizing Committee will send the Invitation
Letter to the Nanoworkshop's participants who finished both the
registration and payment. The registration fee is nonrefundable.
Invitation Letter will be possibly sent to the participants who
finished both the registration and submission of the Abstract. In
the latter case, the submitted Abstract must contain acceptable,
original scientific topic on related field for polymer, metal and
nanomaterials. Visa will be issued after the recognition of abstract
contents.
